Come along to the The People’s Conference for Peace on 21st November, which will bring together citizens, campaigners and activists from across Lancashire to organise our response to the new militarism. With government spending on war set to rocket, paid for by cuts to our vital public services, we need to build an alternative that puts our communities first. With representatives from the trade union movement, local political forces, the Palestine movement and the anti-war movement, we hope to be able to develop tools that people can deploy in their own communities in order to stop the drive to militarism.
There will be sessions on the drive to war, Palestine, conscription, the Lucas plan, the new authoritarianism and welfare not warfare. Register here.
